Well, actually the M60's defining momment came in the battle for Kuwait Airport. I tried searching the net, but couldn't find anything. I read about this in a book a long time ago called "The New Isllustrated Guide: Modern US Army" by Tim Ripley with an ISBN 0-8317-5051-0. I copied this from a page on the M60
"for many years the M60's capabilities vis-a-vis Soviet tanks were the subject of much speculation, particularly after the introduction of the T-72. The argument was settled for good when M60A1's from the 1st Marine Division encuntered 70 Iraqi T-72's at Kuwait International Airport on 26 February 1991 and destroyed them all, along with 180 T-55's and T 62's for good measure"
