I was comparing stealth to nuclear weapons primarily on the amount of national resources it takes to develop the technology, not to the extent to which each technology has been demonstrably proven and proliferated. I don't think it is getting ahead of myself to cite ongoing Chinese, Russian, Indian, and even Iranian stealth fighter development programs as evidence that these countries have a desire and probably a means to develop stealth tech. And without any political/legal barriers to them pursuing it, they will eventually acquire the tech with time (I feel we're pretty much saying the same thing here...)

Indeed, the F-117 shoot down was one of the analogues I had in mind when I was envisioning the possible Iranian cyber hijacking scenarios. I didn't end up including it in that response because I felt it was getting too verbose.
We don't know that the RQ-170 was brought down by cyber means, but we do know that other hubristic assumptions about Iran's capabilities in the context of this incident were shown to be inaccurate. I believe I've demonstrated this hubris, as I set out to do.

But you did call Iran a witless adversary: "No one's underestimating the adversaries - no one with any wit in them, anyway"
I'll just chalk this up to rhetorical condescension, rather than you actually believing that they are witless/non-threatening. Unfortunately, I do know people who actually believe such tripe and insist that we could completely defeat Iran in a matter of weeks with minimal U.S. losses if we were to get into a full conflict with them :/
