How do we not know if it is a ROKAF F-4 Phantom II with GE engines and a lower thrust rating on the right engine due to higher hours on that engine because the right engine had a bleed air in flight after an over-G and was replaced while the fighter pilot and RIO trained on the ground and even checked up on the fighter while the jet mechs where working on it to get an idea of what the fighter looks like while the engine is out. Amazed on how it looked, the fighter pilot always has that picture in the back of his mind and refuses to push the jet past 5 G even on a low fuel load and no weapons because it looks like it could snap in half if treated roughly. The paint on the fighter could be replaced too but he hopes that they completely sand it and then seal it. The extra weight of not sanding it and just re-spraying it could reduce the overall performance and range. He was worried that the extra few dozen lbs of jet fuel that the weight would consume would prevent him from RTBing after intense ACM over hostile territory. He wouldn’t want to bail out due to a flame-out just miles away from base. He thinks it would be wicked cool if he could instead park the fully functional fighter in his front lawn and perform maintenance to keep it air worthy while having a cool smirk on his face and making millions of people jealous.
