If you look back at the original post you made...you specifically asked why Israel used Turkey's airspace instead of just flying across Syria to bomb Syrian targets. That was what I was answering to...not the supposed "permission" that was supposedly gotten from elements of the Turkish military. Like I said, the answer is quite simple.

The Saudis have every desire to see the Iranian regime hit....preferably destroyed...and definitely dont want to see Iran armed with nukes.

The Saudis have a vision of grandeur that they are the ultimate power amongst the Arabian peninsula and gulf region...and don't want any major questions to their rule over the holy lands and their interpretation of Islam. Iran under the Shah was a fellow american ally that presented no major military and more importantly, ideological opposition to the Saudi regime.

Ever since Khomenei, if you have read up even a little bit of history in the region...(instead of living in some muslim ummah is so-very strong lalaland), ...you would know that Iran has pretty much been diametrically opposed to the Saudis...being strongly shia and strongly questioning the rule of the Saudis over Mecca....so much so that the Saudis accuse an Iranian hand in the terrorist attack on Mecca....not to mention supposed Iranian support to anti-Saudi militias in Yemen and the region at large.

So I am afraid you are the one that lives in fantasy land, if you really think the Saudis are so prepared to see such a hostile regime (in their eyes) rise even more with nuclear development and an anti-Saudi agenda....they will definitely cooperate with the Israelis.....in a way that they can officially deny....so as to not incur wrath of the arab populace majority....
