Some shades of brown (pun is kind of intended) is visible, yes. It's the new colour of EU. USA drastically improves its leadership while almost every
country in Europe does the opposite. Pissing on democracy is in fashion.

In a few ways, Brown reminds me of Nixon.
Both were not terribly good at handling the media or having that leadership look and feel. Both had substance though when it came to actual leadership....i.e. they delivered on many issues....mostly domestic. I bet most people don't know that it was under Nixon that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) was set up (something most democrats don't know) Both were beset by major scandals regarding their party and corruption...and it looks like Brown is going to deck it out till the last possible moment just like Nixon. Though to me Brown is more likeable....because he isn't an anti semite racist like Nixon was (Nixon actually wished a major famine on India and Indians just because he hated Indira Gandhi....and he felt that millions of Indians starving to death would help US foreign policy which was then pro - Pakistan and pro - China).

personally, i think it's obvious that the bush administration (or a select few inside it) had their own agenda with iraq. It was fairly crystal that iraq wasn't capable of producing a threat, or that it had the capability to then project that power over sea's....at least it should have been obvious to those with the CIA/NSA and the many number of agencies they have under their command. people are covering their asses. i'd like to see them fried. 5000 good US men and about 170 british dead. a war in afghanistan now in a stale mate because it was neglected. i think a good BBQ would be justice

His biggest connection to the bank bailout (which he is largely responsible for the UK needing so badly due to his #$%#-ups as Chancellor) is taking the credit for it, and he's spent the rest of the time trying to avoid bad news stories.

to be honest...with a face like brown i wouldn't even trust him to sell a kid of mine (let's hope that doesn't happen anytime soon) a frikkin
icecream, yet alone a reason to a nation and the world for the lead up to war in iraq he's a grade A douche bag

I guess you guys know Brown better than I do....I was just quoting from a friend...probaby pro-labour....after doing a little digging up on my own I also agree
that Brown has been pretty bad on the domestic front as well.
Do you guys think the Tories and Cameron are a better choice for Britain's future?

"Less Bad" would be more accurate than "Better". The current Labour government is completely out of ideas and Brown doesn't have the
balls to make difficult political decisions. Cameron has demonstrated that he **probably** does.
The really exciting possibility at the next election is that the Lib-Dems might come ahead of Labour for the first time since 1918. If that happens (and I'd say there is only a 10-20% chance of it) then it should put a lid on some of the more authoritarian traits in British politics for a significant length of time (e.g. National ID Cards).

heh... Less bad...isn't this always the case with politics?
Always the lesser of two evils...from what ive seen. Well I think labour is definitely going to lose in the next elections...seeing how things are going....so I guess things look better for the UK in the future....somewhat at least.
