i believe i caught him behind the ASDA trying on a dirty firemans jockstrap. it was him alright, i could tell because he wasn't wearing any braces that
day. flanker, wears braces on everyday but the first friday of every month.
it was my housemates birthday tonight. it got out of hand in the good way

Why doesn't Werner just update his website? People who visit www.fighter-planes.com will just think that they're looking at an archived web page from 1997 and instantly leave it. He doesn't even link to this forum properly. He wouldnt have to do much to his website apart from changing its appearance. I have limited knowledge, but even I could give his site a complete makeover
with CSS. You can do a lot with CSS that wont use up too much bandwidth. His site doesnt even use XHTML........ His website should be banned from the internet
for being so primative.

Im really bored today, so I spent a couple of hours getting this far:
Its far from finished! Is it any good? The code is a bit of a mess (and unfinished in places) and I will improve on cleaning it up and doing things
differently to get the same effect.. I also need to learn Javascript and PHP. For the air forces section, I'd expect members to do a feature on their nation's air force, including a list of aircraft types. We could easily get one done for the US, India, Israel, the UK and maybe France. We could ovbiously link airforce inventories to their specific pages and the site could become a good reference point... In the news section, we could link to news articles from the worldwide media regarding aviation and even include a google news app that constantly updates itself with the latest aviation related stories. If you think about it, Werner has already done most of the work. I will work on this site until it is really decent, just so I can continue learning web desigm. Eh, could work. But you want to get Werner to consider it before getting your hopes up, though I can't imagine why he would be particularly against getting a team to maintain and update his website for free. :P Shoot him an email. do it. |
